This collection is a continuation of my fascination with ‘contemporary relics’. When I look at old things I feel a sense of a deep past that is quite transcendent. It connects me to the long history of human experiences as well as a sense of mythological realms.
In my ceramics I continue to explore surface textures and decorations to build this sense of the timeless and this collection focuses on weathered bronze.
The angel motif continues to be important to me as a symbol of lightness, of protection and of hope.
