ARTIST SPOTLIGHT WINTER 2024 
Our Artist Spotlights are gearing up for Winter 2024. Mist Gallery is situated on the far north coast of NSW, Australia at CABARITA BEACH.  In 2020 Cabarita Beach was named the best beach in Australia. As such, we receive many visitors from all over Australia as well as international visitors. 

2023 was the first time we offered artists that were not part of the gallery stable, a chance to exhibit. This proved a great opportunity for new artists to demonstrate their artistic abilities and ultimately become a regular artist at Mist Gallery.  

There is a selection process, as we don't want to waste your time and money.  We are looking for artists who have a cohesive body of work that will stand on its own in a gallery.  Having said that, we also take many emerging artists who demonstrate a commitment and artistic presence. If you are not successful the first time, we encourage you to try again.  The application form is below so keep scrolling. 

Whilst there is a cost, we also offer a lot and many of the spotlight artists have flourished as a result.

Option June: 31st May to 23rd June (installation 30th May)

Option August: 2nd August to 25th August (installation 1st August) (5 places left) 

Cost:
$1250 inc GST to be paid once accepted (non-refundable)
Commission on sales is 40% plus GST

Space:
6.5 metres running space. 
Ceramics and sculpture - use of 6 plinths and other stands including front window display. 
More space may be available by request at an extra cost. 
All works need to be of gallery quality and ready to hang with D rings for 2D works.  D rings need to be fitted approx 10 cm from the top. 
We use a gallery hanging system to display 2D work. We do not use nails.

Hanging and display service 
Full time gallery and sales staff to handle enquiries and sales

Street visibility

Opening drinks (optional): 
At the artist's expense.
Saturday 2pm to 4pm 
Gallery staff will serve, set up and clean up.
