Tutored Life Drawing - Introduction (only 4 places left!)
Tuesday 7th December 6pm - 8pm
Teaching Artist: Susan Kinneally
Suitable for beginners and more experienced artists who may want to work more independently. This class will begin with quick gestural drawings, then longer 5 - 10 minute sessions, where students would concentrate on observation of balance, movement, of angles and negative spaces. Longer poses and exercises follow at a comfortable pace.
Model, easels, boards and newsprint supplied.
To bring:
Charcoal - compressed and willow
Conte or crayons (optional)
Extra paper or drawing pads (optional)
Art apron
Drink and / or nibbles.

Teaching Artist - Caroline Wisler
Join Caroline for an introduction into blue and white heaven learning the historical photographic medium Cyanotype.
Working mainly with flora and found objects, students will learn the basic technique of this 180 year old process. This two hour hands on workshop is for anyone who would like to participate in and experience this unique analogue printing medium, as a starting point to either take forward into their own artistic practice or to just have some fun. Previous experience is not necessary and will suit students of any skill level. All works will be created on paper, with students completing several handmade prints to take home. Keep the finished pieces for yourself or give to loved ones for Christmas!
Students should wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and an apron is advisable. A smartphone or watch is also handy to time the exposure and development process. Please be prepared to spend some time outdoors for printing, so bring a sunhat and sunscreen. All materials will be provided.
Bring along a water bottle.
