Helen Otway - Summer Breeze
Each of these seagulls has its own pose and and character. Quietly confident and aware of their surroundings. Keeping an eye on any movement and monitoring their coastal home.
Whilst I paint mainly landscapes and seascape, these seagulls capture my attention because of their form, their subtle shades of white against the coastal backdrop and how different each is whilst so similar.
As a stark difference, the Black Cockatoo is a rarer sight. They fly over my home and head towards the banksia on the coastal dunes, often flying in threes.
