Painting beach scenes from my local surf spot, has such a familiarity that it almost feels like constructing a self-portrait. Using colours and my own artistic perspective, I wanted a sense of nostalgia and scenes of days spent in my teens when these parts were quiet and less populated.
Growing up in this area and spending many summers at these exact places, I intended to give the viewer a dream of an uninhabited paradise..
